Growing up in Baie Comeau, Quebec, Sandra spent her childhood living and playing outdoors with her brothers. Hunting for buried treasure from French explorers, tobogganing, skiing and even enjoying picnics in the winter prepared her for anything.
The family picked up and moved to Ontario where she attended Brock University to study German, French and Spanish. Her charm has warmed the Country of Brant library for the past 28 years. A friendly and curious woman, she loves the library job for the opportunity to connect with readers to hear what titles excited them and what authors transported them to literary destinations. Perks of the job: Checking out all the new titles!
Leisure time is often spent with grandchildren, reading and satisfying her love of travel. Sandra's wandering spirit has taken her to Europe many times as well as many destinations in Canada. However, she does have a few bucket list destinations still on her list including British Columbia, P.E.I. and Newfoundland.
SANDRA FUN FACT: A person of the people, Sandra blends effortlessly into her surroundings. As a young woman, she was an au pair in the south of France. People mistook her for German or Scandinavian. She unknowingly picked up the family accent. Loving her Canadian roots, she would proudly tell people of her rich Canadian background.
